The Hand and Heart Behind Ekam

Ezhil's path to the wild took the long way home. She began as a zoology graduate and university rank-holder, then spiralled through into computers and over two decades as a corporate trainer — guiding 5,000+ professionals across 40+ global companies through the complex technology, one clear step at a time. That clarity never left her; it's why a nervous beginner in her class never feels lost.

But the wild had always been calling, and art brought her back to it. Since 2005 she has painted and taught it, training over 3,000 students — from Singapore and Chennai to the US and Australia. Her animals aren't decoration; she paints them the way our ancestors saw them: as presence, as power, as the sacred made visible, in a fire-lit, soul-first palette. Her work now hangs in private collections across the world. And every year she hosts the Ekam Annual Exhibition, placing her students' work on a real wall beside her own.
